Historical & Mythological Significance
The temple's origins are deeply rooted in Hindu scriptures. Legend has it that when Ganesha was married before Kartikeya, Kartikeya grew angry and left for Mount Krauncha. Shiva and Parvati visited him here to console him, manifesting as Mallikarjuna (Shiva, named after Mallika flowers) and Bhramaramba (Parvati, in the form of a bee). Historically, the temple received patronage from major dynasties including the Satavahanas, Kakatiyas, and the Vijayanagara empire, with King Harihara Raya constructing the main mandapam.
Temple Timings & Aarti Schedule
The temple opens daily from 4:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Main rituals: - Suprabhatha Darshanam: 5:00 AM - Mahamangala Aarti: 5:30 AM and 5:00 PM - Sarvadarshanam (General Entry): 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
